Best lesson ever!
This has been a good week. We were able to go proselyting for a few hours on Saturday and it was super hard. We talked to everyone and pretty much had no success. I got a little feeling of what rejection is like. Anyway, it wasn't that bad. People love the missionaries here but a lot of them are just not interested.
We taught our best lesson ever while here in the CTM. Our virtual investigator that is really hard, Andre, he told us he loves God and was just not seeing how the Book Of Mormon is from God. He was really giving us a hard time. Afterward, we felt like it was an awful lesson and we kinda felt like crap.
That night we prayed and did a lot of scripture study. We found a perfect scripture for him. The next day when we were teaching him, he threw a major wrench at us and said his wife had a miscarriage and lost their baby. Well, we had prepared ourselves spiritually for this lesson and we shared some scriptures, testimony and sung a hymn for him in Portuguese. The spirit was crazy strong. Elder Morrow shared a little about how his dad died when he was 8. At the end we felt prompted and invited him to be baptized. He accepted.
After the lesson, he switched back into our instructor and said: "Now this is a lesson!" It was weird because we taught absolutely nothing from preach my gospel and didn't have much of a lesson plan. He stated he had never seen those scriptures applied in that way and we taught 100% on the spiritual promptings we had received. He told us we need to demonstrate that lesson to our district and we were kind of like "ok?" We don't remember most of the things we said and it was guided by the spirit but i guess we will try lol.

It is weird that when I came out on my mission; for the first couple of weeks I had been thinking a lot about 2 years from now about returning with honor and really looking forward to my future. I thought about seeing you guys and seeing Autumn, the Koenigs and friends again. I still look forward to it but now I am focused more on when I will get to meet Christ and the wonderful day that I will have the opportunity to see him face to face, to thank him for dying and atoning for my sins and to tell him that I love him.
If you can't tell my testimony has kind of gone through the roof these last few weeks. My idea of free time is reading the book of Mormon for fun. Its kinda weird.
