Right time at Right place

Yea this week was pretty fast. We have had a lot of good lessons.

Yasmin and Julio quit drinking coffee and so did Alice. We are teaching a new guy named Carlos who we are going to try and mark a date for baptism this week. Shiela and Socrates are doing good, still waiting on the documents of Socrates to arrive.  Alice is doing well and her parents are interested in the church now because of her.

Augusto will be baptized for sure this week. We have talked with everyone and it is a sure thing this time. He is super excited and actually invited us lol. He also asked bishop to announce it over the pulpit. We talked to his mom this week and she has started reading the Book of Mormon.  She has a ton of questions which is awesome.

Funny story, we walked all the way to Augsto's house which is like a 5 mile walk. He called us and said he wasn't home. There was a store nearby and I was like i need a snack. So we went in and when we left Augusto's mom was behind us and and was yelling for us. She said she didn't know how she was going to carry all of her groceries home but then she saw us, so we helped her. When we got back to her house she started thanking us for all we had done for her son and also started asking questions about the Book of Mormon. It was super awesome.  Afterwards we said the spirit made me hungry so that we would go to the store nearby. ;)

Everything looks super good for us being able to help Yasmin and Julio get married this week.

I miss everyone, but honestly when i think about how I have already served over 3 months,  I think about me only having so much time left and I really don't ever want to go home. I had a dream last night that i finished my mission and was so uncomfortable at home. I honestly don't even know what i would do if i wasn't here right now. Its a weird feeling.

The best spiritual experiences are every time we have someone and I see the changes in their lives; I think to myself this would never happen if I was at home.

My dad asked me how I was doing with the language so far, I believe I am fluent with speaking, but with a lot of errors.  Everyone seems to understand me and I can understand almost everything.  I don't think in English anymore, so when I write in my journal at night it never makes sense.  It is a common goal for Brazilians to learn English, so I speak in English with Elder Costa sometimes to help him learn, but I have forgotten a lot.  I am like half fluent in two languages, it's funny.

Anyway i don't have a whole lot to say this week, but I love you guys.

Take care,
Elder Rhodes

We were thinking this couple in the background could use a chastity pamphlet.
