Jose and how God knows him

I will go ahead and send the big email first because I have been having a hard time remembering to do that. This week was good and I had a cool experience that I would like to share.

There is a guy named Jose that went to church last week and he is the dad and husband of members, he had never believed in God or ever been to church one time in his life until last week. We were really busy at church Sunday so I didn't get to talk to him a whole lot, I just figured out that he wasn't a member and grabbed his contact. Saturday night I didn't know why but we both felt a really strong urge to go to his house and visit him, even though we didn't have his phone number to confirm a visit and they live really far away, but we went anyway even though we weren't sure they would be home.

When we got there he opened the door and had a very surprised look on his face. When we went in he had said that he had just told his wife that when he went to drink today like he always does (he drinks a LOT) he took one drink looked around and said what the heck am I doing here? I'm not doing any good for me or for my family and he left. He said that was the first time he had ever thought about it like that. He went home apologized to his wife and said he was ready to change whenever we knocked on the door. And man was he shocked.

He said he had never believed in God but he will never doubt again because God responded to him in the exact time that he wanted to change. He really wants to be baptized but he and his wife are not legally married so it will take a little while. But man is he ready. He went to church again yesterday and is super excited to learn more.

So that was pretty cool. We also have another person that we found this week that is working towards a baptismal date. Me and my companion work well together.

Btw, we found 23 new investigators this past week; we almost beat/tied the mission record which I think is something like 32!
