Lord still works miracles today; I was there....
Well I don't know where to start, this was a very blessed week. When I grabbed my new companion one of the first things he said was "Man, president got it right on this transfer." I was like how come? and he said that he had stayed in his house sleeping the entire last transfer and that its been like 4 transfers since he had done any type of missionary work or followed any of the rules, but he wanted to change. He told me that I would have to help him, but he would try his best. I can do that.
This past week we met our new mission president, President Barros and is wife and three little kids I'm excited for this new opportunity to learn from more people that have been called to serve us.
I heard Maddux decided to miss his championship game because it was on Sunday. Just want to say, Maddux nice job on getting to the championship, I know it must have been rough not to go to the game on Sunday, but you are a great example to those on your team and their families. They will remember you for the decision you made and why you made it. Sometimes the right thing isn't always what we want or the easiest, but that is why it is so important that we do it. Love you bud and proud of the decision you made. I also have had to miss baseball games and other things on Sundays because of our religion. The blessings are always greater than the sacrifice, don't forget that.
This was one of the best and most blessed weeks of my mission, I don't know how to write all of the stuff that happened.
Sergio, Nicole and Nathan, we marked baptismal dates with them for the 28th of this month. Sergio is their uncle and they are living with him. Sergio has serious problems with his health, he smokes a lot and has a problem with the right side of his body being almost completely numb and paralyzed, but he still feels a lot of pain. Sunday when they didn't show up at church (Church starts with the classes and then afterwards we have sacrament meeting) I grabbed the first member I saw and went with him to go pick them up, while my comp stayed with another member at the chapel.
We get along and teach super well together and we seriously are being 100% obedient.

When I arrived, I walked in (by myself, just me and the Lord lol the member didn't want to go in so he stayed in the car) and found him laying on the bed, he was in so much pain that he couldn't move, and by this time we had about 20 minutes until sacrament meeting. I asked him if he were cured would he go to church, and he said that he didn't have any clean clothes but that he would go next week. I then asked him if he had faith to be healed and he said yes (again just me, him and the Holy Ghost in the room). I then offered a very fervent prayer and after saying amen he was crying and started moving his hands, he sat up and then started walking, he hugged me and cried. The Spirit was strong and for some reason I just knew if he answered yes to having faith, he would be healed.
He then promised that he would wash his clothes right now and leave them ready for the next Sunday. He wouldn't have an excuse not to go. I them grabbed the kids and we went to church. Afterwards when we dropped the kids off they went up to him gave him a big hug and they all started crying and he promised all of us he would go to church this week. That was awesome.
We also found a ton of new people and started teaching them, we have about 12 other people that we are preparing for baptism this transfer, 12! Yeah we are catching on fire. Elder Motta has 14 months on the mission and says that he is tired of being disobedient and wants his whole mission to be like this week.
Last story, this one is funny. There is a guy named Reginaldo that we made contact with a while back. We went there and asked to share a message and a prayer and he said that he didn't want it, and he wouldn't want us to keep coming back and bugging him. We finally convinced him that we would share a message in 5 minutes; say a prayer and never come back if he didn't want us too. He then said sarcastically alright then lets see what comes of this message. We walked in and he introduced us to his family and his 2 sons were sick and he said that he wanted them cured, he was basically tempting God. We said a prayer and then shared a message about faith without action, when I looked over at him; he was crying so much. He asked us to read the scripture again, it was funny. Then we marked him down to go back and teach some more.
